Veterinary hospital software: whiteboard and treatment sheets
PetGrid's veterinary hospital software tracks in-patients: a whiteboard of every admitted pet, a treatment sheet per stay with orders and check-offs, and status updates owners see in their app.
Nothing due is missed at shift change, and the owner does not have to call to ask how their pet is.
How it works
How it works, step by step
Admit
Admit from a visit or the chart, as a day or overnight stay, with the reason, kennel and responsible vet.
Write the orders
Add orders with dose, route and frequency; the whiteboard shows what is overdue, due now and next.
Treat and update
Check off each treatment as it is given, and send the owner a one-tap status with a photo.
Discharge
Discharge with a note; the sheet locks, and the stay's charges are on the invoice.
What you can do
What you can do with it
Admit a patient for the day or overnight, with a reason, a kennel, the responsible vet and an alert note.
See every admitted patient on one whiteboard, with treatments overdue, due now and next.
Write treatment orders (medication, fluids, feeding, walks, monitoring) with dose, route and frequency, linked to stock if you want.
Check off each treatment as done, or skipped with a reason; check-offs and notes are never changed afterwards.
Send the owner a one-tap status (admitted, in surgery, in recovery, ready for pickup) with a photo, seen in their app.
Charge stocked items to the stay's invoice as they are given, if you switch it on, and log controlled drug doses in the register.
Discharge with a note, which locks the treatment sheet, and print the sheet.
Good to know
What it does not do (yet)
- Kennels, cages, runs and wards are managed per location, and each hospital or boarding stay records its site, and its kennel when one is chosen; a kennel cannot be booked twice for the same days.
- Boarding is a request your desk answers, not a hospital stay.
- Orders are stopped and replaced, not edited, to keep the sheet's history.
- There is no AI in the hospital module.
