Good to know
What it does not do (yet)
- The map covers Canada (outside Quebec), the United States, Mexico and Bogota.
- Other clinics come from an open map dataset, updated about monthly, so some details may be out of date or missing.
- Booking and messages only work with clinics on PetGrid. For a clinic that is not on PetGrid, choose "Ask to book": PetGrid emails the clinic your request once. This is a request, not a booking. The clinic replies to you directly. If the clinic cannot be emailed, PetGrid tells you to call.
Questions people ask
How do I find a vet near me?
Open the map in the free PetGrid app, or browse the vet directory by province and city. It shows PetGrid clinics and other clinics near you, with filters for new patients, booking and species.
Which places does the vet map cover?
Today the map has clinics in Canada (outside Quebec), the United States, Mexico and Bogota, and the rest of the app works wherever you are. Some clinics may be missing, which is why you can suggest one.
Does PetGrid keep my location?
No. "Show clinics near me" uses your location on your device only, and it is not kept.
Do I need a PetGrid clinic to use the app?
Yes. The app works with any vet, or none. A PetGrid clinic adds booking, messages and records from the clinic; see booking and messages. Read how to find a new vet for what to ask.
