Pet health tracking, with a heart that fills as you care
Pet health tracking in PetGrid puts each pet's weight, vaccines, medicines, routines and symptoms on charts in the free app, with a Care score heart that fills as you keep up with care.
Tick Done on a routine and the heart fills a little more. It measures your care routine, never your pet's health, so it never stands in for your vet.
How it works
How it works, step by step
Start the care plan
Pick a few everyday routines for your pet, like a walk or brushing, with one tap from Pip's care plan.
Tick Done
When a routine is due, tick Done, Later or Skip on Today. The heart fills a little with each Done on time.
Log at home
Add a weight from your own scale or a symptom you noticed. Each one lands on the pet's charts.

Open Health for the charts, or tap the heart to see what makes the score and what would raise it.
Health tracking
A heart that fills as you care
Each pet gets a Care score from 0 to 100 on Today. Tick Done on a routine and the heart fills a little more. It measures how the care routine is kept, never how your pet is.
- Routines ticked Done on time count most, then vaccines and reminders kept up to date, a recent weight and logging regularly.
- Tap the heart to see how it is made, the last eight weeks and up to three things that would raise it.
- Weight, vaccines, medicines, routines and symptoms you log show as charts in Health, like a phone's health app.

What you can do
What you can do with it
See each pet's records as charts, like a phone's health app: weight, vaccines, medicines and doses, routines, visits, notes, symptoms and lab results as printed on your papers.
Pick a time range, from today to the last 12 months, and read a plain sentence about what the chart shows.
Log a weight from your own scale, in kg or lb, or a symptom you noticed, with how strong it seemed and a note.
Tick Done, Later or Skip on your pet's everyday routines, like a walk, brushing teeth or a weigh-in.
Watch the Care score heart fill from 0 to 100 as you keep the routine, and tap it to see how it is made.
See the last eight weeks as a trend, and up to three things that would raise the score.
With a PetGrid clinic that shares them, see the vitals it measured at visits, like temperature and heart rate.
Good to know
What it does not do (yet)
- The Care score is not a health check and PetGrid never diagnoses. Ask your vet about any change.
- The heart starts once a routine is on; with no routine there is no score, rather than a zero.
- Vitals like temperature and heart rate show only when your PetGrid clinic chooses to share them.
- Logs at home are not watched in real time. For anything urgent, call your vet.
Questions people ask
What is the Care score in the PetGrid app?
The Care score is a heart from 0 to 100 for each pet that fills as you keep its care routine over the last 30 days. Routines ticked Done on time count most, then vaccines and reminders kept up to date, a recent weight and logging regularly.
How do I raise my pet's Care score?
Tick Done on your pet's routines on time, keep vaccines and reminders up to date and log a weight every few weeks. Under the heart, PetGrid lists up to three things that would raise it, like a routine that is due today.
Does the Care score tell me if my pet is healthy?
No. The Care score shows how the care routine is kept, never how your pet is. Logging a symptom never lowers it, and PetGrid does not diagnose. Ask your vet about your pet's health.
Do I need a PetGrid clinic to track my pet's health?
Yes. Health charts, logging at home, routines and the Care score are in the free app, with any vet or none. With a PetGrid clinic, its visits, vaccines and results join the charts on their own.
Does anyone check the symptoms I log?
No one watches your logs in real time. They go in your own records; with a PetGrid clinic, the clinic can read them. If a log sounds urgent, the app shows a card to call your clinic or your vet.
